Warehousing & Distribution Associate
Reports To: Shift Supervisor
Hours: This is a full-time position; hours of work vary depending on the assigned shift. Saturday overtime is mandatory when needed.
Hours
- 1st shift: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
- 2nd shift: 1:30 pm to 10 pm
- 3rd Shift: 10:00pm – 5:00am
- 1st shift: 5:00 am – 1:30 pm
- 2nd shift: 1:30 pm to 10 pm
- 1st Shift: 4:30am – 3:00pm
- 2nd shift: 2:45pm – 1:15pm
Compensation:
1st Shift: $20 – $23
2nd shift: $22 – $25

As a Warehousing and Distribution Associate, you play a crucial role in preparing our shipments for on-time pickup. This fast paced, active position involves moving finished product to the correct location in a timely and accurate manner following standard operating procedures.
Duties:
MAIL BREAKDOWN & LOADING
- Co-palletize USPS Marketing Mail following the department SOPs
- Utilize the alpha-numeric grid to strategically stage pallets for NDC and SCF destinations
- Break down and organize completed mail trays onto the correct pallet according to the consolidation grid.
- Use manual hand scanners to capture and report work in real-time, ensuring accurate tracking of trays and pallets.
- Understand and switch between different scanner modes (Info Mode, Seen Mode, QC Mode, Loaded Mode)
- Load all completed pallets onto trucks ensuring on time departures
SUPPORT PRODUCTION OBJECTIVES
- Monitor the Warehouse Scanner Log for real-time status updates
- Collaborate and assist in the resolution of issues identified by the Warehouse Scanner Log, reporting to the Director of Production
- Understand and switch between different scanner modes (Info, Seen, QC, & Load) to ensure accurate reporting
- Shipping & receiving as needed
- Properly stack trays on pallets using the pinwheel method to ensure a stable interlocking pattern that can help prevent leaning and improve pallet stability.
- Properly wrap and stage completed pallets for proper loading of trucks
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, regulations, and protocols while operating equipment and performing duties

Success Indicators:
- Maintains a positive Employee Performance Log and adheres to company policy
- Successfully utilize manual hand scanners to capture and report work in real-time, showcasing proficiency in switching between different scanner modes (Info Mode, Seen Mode, QC Mode, Loaded Mode)
- Completes weekly pick up with a positive Warehouse Scanner Log report of “0”
- Demonstrate precision and urgency in breaking down and organizing completed mail trays at a rate of 250-300 accurately placed trays per hour
- Demonstrates reliability and adheres to Production Attendance Policy
- Understands company workflow and Standard Operating Procedures
- Supports the overall objectives of Production Management and is a positive team player

Physical Requirements:
Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, to operate a forklift; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Employees primarily work in the warehouse and are exposed to various noise levels, vibration, dust, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, and hand scanners. Positions in this role will bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.
